Yeah, I've run into this a couple of times. I use ATF (Dextron II or III 
now), as it seems to go where regular oil won't. I've been able to revive a couple 
of hinges, but usually the door has already been sprung. My Roadster 2 
project is like that on one side only (passenger side that doesn't get used much). I 
was also able to get my Notch doors, and my son's Thing doors to work again 
with the ATF on the hinges. Seems to work better than WD 40.
