Ive spend the last 4 evenings harvesting bushings and bearings from old beams. Ive learned a lot. It's a Bitch of a job getting the out without damaging them, basically you have to cut them out but they are all out now. To help me come up with my report of what I found can anyone tell me what year they switched to the bolt mounted safety tabs for the lower arms as opposed to the welded ones on the end of the beam? I know 65 has the welded ones... but this will help me come to some conclusions. Is that a typo maybe? 311 401 305 shows up as needle roller bearing (44 mm OD) for the upper trailing arm in my early parts book. 311 401 305 A is an oversized bearing with 44.2 mm OD. jens ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ List info at http://www.vwtype3.org/list | mailto:gregm@vwtype3.org ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
