Well, I spent the weekend freezing to death halfway up Mt Equinox for the VSCCA Hillclimb...43 degrees and windblown rain in the middle of June isn't just bad.... and don't run your gas heater with the engine off if the battery is 9 years old! Anywho, I put over 100 miles on it and one thing Ive noticed about the 1972 tranny I put in it, when you push the clutch in it takes MUCH longer for the tranny innards to spin down so it doesn't grind into first. I AM sure Im getting the clutch all the way in but unlike the old 71 tranny you cant just shove the clutch in and stick it in first, you need to pause a moment. Is this a problem with the Syncro's or is there some other difference in there that is causing this? Otherwise it works great and is nice and quiet.
