I'm afraid that after I sent that last message I got to thinking that your wiring was completely different from what I am used to in the later cars. I think Russ posted a wiring diagram which I had forgotten about, which showed the power coming thru the fuse box BEFORE it got to the switch. If that's the way your '65 is wired, then you should just ignore my previous comments. > Can't get to the garage again but, since I've ruled out the front to rear > wiring, I'll retest the fuse box. Running those 6V bulbs on 12V would certainly fry them, but that wouldn't cause any other problems, just a few fried bulbs. Just be careful that you haven't overlooked anything expensive that the 12V might also fry. -- Jim Adney jadney@vwtype3.org Madison, WI 53711-3054 USA ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ List info at http://www.vwtype3.org/list | mailto:gregm@vwtype3.org ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
