Steven, I installed a set on my Type I; here are some pictures of the 
installation:

Here is a little sound file of me pushing the steering wheel horn 
button, and switching from stock to fanfare to stock horns with the 
under-dash switch:

The fanfare horns are pretty loud compared to the stock horn.  Don't 
sound like VW horns... so I like have the stock option at a flick of 
a switch!
