I just had to replace the fuel pump on my '70 Squareback. I removed it to investigate a leak that developed and determined that it was coming from an o-ring where the electrical connection is made. I left the pump out and plugged the lines with plastic caps. Upon installation of the new pump, I realized I hadn't marked the location of the the lines, but went ahead and after looking in the manual and still unable to determine the correct placement of the lines.... I took my best guess. It starts and run's but heres the problem.... it acts like it is starving for fuel. I thought, maybe I have two of the three lines wrong, so I switched them; now it runs but again.... it acts like it is starving for fuel..... any suggestions or a break down of which line goes where would be appreciated.
