If that were true, the rears would work when the switch is in the park position. They don't, as I understand the thread... In my line of work, wiring problems are common as drilling rigs age and the sea takes its toll on the equipment...not to mention the crews and general abuse, and people who have no business working on the equipment trying their hand at fixing (butchering) the systems... Usually there is a fairly simple problem and I overanalyze it making it harder to fix than it should be. Keep plugging away at the simple stuff and maybe get somebody to show you how the ohm-meter works and I bet you figure it out!
