Re: [T3] Sure Fit Upholstery vs TMI

<x-flowed>We definitely ought to get Jim's "Change Orders" to TMI! I would think making buyers happy would be a No Brainer? I'll buy an Old Stock if they'd at least commit to doing better in the future? Although, I'd still rather go to Tijuana. We went twice in the 70's 600 miles from Redding, CA. Good trip, price, quality, custom etc.& NO LABOR!!! Anybody else ever been to Tijuana for upholstery? I'm certain there's still Shops right over the Border.

So,TMI continues to do it OUR WAY rather than match OEM? Do they at least
use smooth for the side panels? I'm leaning towards Sure Fit for my 67
Square! Who sells it?

Everyone uses smooth (correctly) on the sides. I'm not familiar with Sure Fit,
but in my dealings with Sewfine a few years ago it came out that they bought
all their OEM style covers from TMI, so they had no control over how it was
done. It's quite possible that Sure Fit does the same.

My impression is that most of these guys only part ways when it comes to the
custom stuff.

I wrote up a list of discrepencies between the OEM style covers I got a few
years ago and the real things. I wonder if TMI would be interested in seeing
that list. Anyone know a contact email address there? I don't know if it would
help, but it's probably worth a try.
