You want to be careful with this, because extra weight out at the end of the valve puts more stress on the threads in the carb casting. If the extra weight shakes a little too hard with normal engine vibration, that will destroy the threads in the carb. I believe RIMCO has a fix for this if it happens, though. I second your warning about removing them before pulling the engine. They are a rather long lever arm set into soft metal, so it would be easy to damage the carb with a little excess force on one of them. -- ******************************* Jim Adney, jadney@vwtype3.org Madison, Wisconsin, USA ******************************* ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ List info at http://www.vwtype3.org/list | mailto:gregm@vwtype3.org ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
