>Is it better to fabricate a new floor > back > there or go through the extreme pain of a new pan? My [original] pan had multiple pin holes and thin metal in the back left passenger area. I decided to take the plunge and cover the inside area with generic fiberglass (John J. influenced me) from a FLAPS and it came out pretty good. I used a little too much resin so when it settled it came out slightly wedge-shaped but with sound barrier material and carpeting you would never know or see it. If the metal isn't too bad and there's enough surrounding metal that's good this might be a viable option. At the shop we've patched a couple pans with fiberglass and they are still holding up very well.
