Re: FI conversion
<x-flowed>I have been planning on "reverting' my fasty to FI for a number of years
now. I have more than one off most of the FI components, either second hand
or new, including two NOS wiring harnesses. My car was originally FI, so it
has the delivery and return fuel lines. Some years ago the FI wiring from
the engine bay to under the back seat shorted out and destroyed most of the
harness. I'm pretty confident that I can fix most of this, as there really
aren't that many wires involved.
My question is, is it worth the effort to get the FI working again? I want
to do it just for the challenge and because there are VERY few type 3s in
Australia which still have the original FI working. Never having driven an
FI type 3, I cannot judge the relative performance. I imagine there are a
few of you out there who have driven both and can compare, I would like your
feedback.
