  Hi all:

   I've been subscribed for awhile now, just never posted 
before. I think I'm doing it properly. Let me know if I'm 
not. 
 
   My first car, at 16, was a '65 Beetle and I have had at 
least 1 air cooled VW in the yard ever since. I am now 50 
and working on my first Type 3. YeeeeeeHaaaawwwww

   I bought a '64/'69 butchered Squareback. The pan and most 
of the body is '69. Front fender's and gas tank as well as 
the interior are '64. 

   Anybody know what the body alone weighs? Wanting to know 
if my 2000 lb. capacity engine hoist will lift it off the 
pan. It is stripped, no doors/trunk lid/gas tank/rear 
hatch/glass/fenders or interior panels.

   It has a few pounds of fibreglass butchered into it and 
want to replace it with metal.

   All hints/tips or leads to parts or websites of interest 
will be greatly appreciated.
