That's an interesting point. So the *inefficiency* of combustion engines 
(in terms of waste heat) is a critical criterion for marketabillity!

Seems like there should be another way to address that problem, like 
more efficient electric heat elements. We routinely pay a price in 
horsepower for air conditioning now ....
