Sorry, I knew I had a couple of old used switches here, but I kept
forgetting to check them out when I was downstairs. Now that I've
been reminded enough, here's what I found:

Early headlight switch, grey conical knob with convex face, 8
terminals, rectangular alum body with black plastic terminal plate.
Brass mounting bushing, mounting "nut" missing. Has VW and K logo and
number 8462 on the terminal plate, no VW part #. The dash light
rheostat looks to be okay. I don't know if it's good, but if it
sounds right, I can check it out.

Early wiper switch, large conical alum body, black plastic back with
3 electrical terminals & 2 washer hose connections, grey knob &
pushbutton. Mounting "nut" included. Knob apparently pulls to turn
the wipers on and turns to vary the speed. I'd have to check out the
contacts and rheostat if anyone is interested.

Neither of these has the mounting "screw" that you mention; they both
mount via a threaded bushing which surrounds the shaft. Perhaps
that's what you meant, but I'm not familiar with the early versions.

If someone can tell from my descriptions what year these parts are
from that would be useful to me.
