Re: [T34] Slightly jerky running in 2nd and 3rd

<x-flowed>Thanks Steven,
I removed the washers last night and tried it with just the split pin fitted. It seemed to accelerate pretty much the same but seemed to be a bit smoother in 2nd and 3rd so you may have been right in your suggestion. It wasn't a very comprehensive test though as i hardly had time to get off choke in a quick 5 mile run. I'll see more over the weekend. One things certain though, I can't reduce the pump stroke any further than it is now, unless I make up a couple of adjustable collars to replace the split pins which are about 3/16" in from the end of the rod.

If weakening the mixture under acceleration does help, is there something else I could try which doesn't affect the idle mixture (which is fine) or the steady fast running which also is perfect? Which jets are in use between these extremes?

Hard to say. The symptom you're reporting is pretty subtle, and the apparent temp factor could indicate a lot of possible diagnoses.
