please remember, engine load determines oil temp, not rpm. rpm determines head temp. technically, you can run hotter oil due to engine load and still have a the heads run cool. an example is if you pull a long grade. oil temps climb due to load, but often cylinder temps go down becaues the air/fuel mixture goes fuel rich and rpms aren't as high.
