Re: [T3] Cars only a mother could love

<x-flowed>This museum is fairly close to me and I was not aware of its existence. I'll have to go take a look at it.
I'll have to drive my FB out there so I will fit in with the museum's clientele.

I went to a German car show in Oshkosk, WI last weekend, just in the hopes of
seeing some interesting cars. I went with a friend in his Diesel Jetta wagon,
just because he gets really good gas mileage, but our hope was to see some
interesting cars.

There were no type 3s there.

There was an immaculate '67 Porsche 912, perfectly preserved and completely
original.

There was a '55 Mercedes 300SL Gull Wing. Probably the only one I'll ever get
close enough to touch.

But, for me at least, the stars of the show were 4 little mini cars: 2 Isettas
and 2 Messerschmitts. Whether or not you're already familiar with these, I
recommend that you go to the web site of the Microcar Museum in Madison, GA and
take their virtual tour. The range of little "Bubblecars" is incredible and
they have TONS of them.

Marion McDonald, and any other type 3 listees in GA, ought to take a day and go
visit this place, unless you've already done so. At times I know we all feel
like we love and drive cars that no one else likes, so take a look here and see
how it must feel to be COMPLETELY out of the mainstream.
