The single cyl engine is a 181cc Sachs 2-cycle, which drives the single rear wheel thru a 2 speed transmission. There was one which I actually saw driving on the streets of Madison when I first came here, but the last time I saw it was probably around 1970. It was SO cool to see him drive up, flip the canopy up and over and step out of that car. I never expected to see another one. The Isetta's were also single cylinder. -- ******************************* Jim Adney, jadney@vwtype3.org Madison, Wisconsin, USA ******************************* ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ List info at http://www.vwtype3.org/list | mailto:gregm@vwtype3.org ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
