I notice this where the bottom engine studs come thru the transmission case. The transmission case always gets "spongy" there, under the nut and washer. I also notice the 4 tabs on the bottom of the case where the lower air deflector sheet tin gets attached to each side; those tabs tend to get slowly eaten away until there is nothing left to screw the M6 bolts into. -- Jim Adney jadney@vwtype3.org Madison, WI 53711-3054 USA ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ List info at http://www.vwtype3.org/list | mailto:gregm@vwtype3.org ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
