[T3] VDO oil temp gauge calibration results

<x-flowed>My ultra-scientific laboratory-grade testing devices (freshly boiled water in a doubled-up paper coffee cup) have revealed that my new VDO oil temp gauge --of the "Cockpit Royale" variety-- and new sender are about 10 degrees too low (registering around 200 deg. in boiling water). I tried it three times, each time increasing the speed by which I could run from the kitchen to the garage without splattering scalding hot water all over myself... about 30 seconds. I'm not sure how fast the water cools down (and thus what the exact temp the gauge is at) but it couldn't be ten degrees (?).

Thanks all,

Dave Y.
