Repulsion/Induction motor. That is what my old compressor had. Until it smoked in the winter. Starts on brushes, runs on induction. No start capacitors. But mine pulled about 40A 220V to get started. Get me some dimensions Kieth, and I can measure the ones in mine. It is not worth rewinding, so it is a parts motor.
