Had a blast today.... sandblasted the Crates whole engine compartment! All day with my little syphon blaster... Nuts! its done though and the rear apron does indeed look like Swiss cheeze. I was thinking of mig welding them up but having a neophyte welder fill in all those holes on such thin metal... well you get the picture, and isnt a good one! Im thinking of a repair that is less invasive but should be just as permanent. I wont get into it till I know it works but if you know me... it involves RTV! Ill put more pictures up soon... the new bumper mount sections are welded in place (thanks to Neil Mast and his Pink light saber (aka. sawzall))!! When replacing rusty sections its a godsend to have good replacements! BTW... is mig welding supposed to be this easy and fast? Granted my welds wont win any beauty awards yet but WOW! IF its this easy to weld up a car... and its easy to cut one up.... Oh Boy! I better turn some more lights on in the garage! Keith BTW... does everybody elses sandblasting sand say "Dont use for Sandblasting"?
