They are 30+ year old trucks that sit in a machine shed for 9 months of the years. They are then put into service and loaded with 20+ tons of grain and put out on the highways. A lot of them have barely usable brakes, and steering with a 1/4 turn of play. The tires are weather checked, and you can see the ground through the floor boards. Do you want to see one of these coming up in the mirror behind you at a stop sign?? -- Russ Wolfe '71 FB AT '66 FB MT '64 T34 (not running) '65 T1 (not running) '05 KIA Sorento SUV russw@classicvw.org http://www.classicvw.org ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ List info at http://www.vwtype3.org/list | mailto:gregm@vwtype3.org ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
