I was wondering if anyone on the list is in Pittsburgh or the general area? I just had my '72 squareback inspected by a local shop to get PA plates/tags and the news was not good. A couple of things I think are reasonable, but some I'm not quite sure about. I would like to get a second opinion from a shop that knows old VW's. For context, if you're not in PA, they do a 'safety' inspection here in part of a million step process of giving a hundred different people small amounts of cash to sign paperwork and give you a small piece of the larger puzzle that results in a driver's license, license plates, registration, and tags. No, I'm not bitter. Not at all.
