Re: Dual Carb woes

<x-flowed>The problem may be in the carb top with a blocked accellerator pump jet but it may also be in the accelerator pump (link not connected to throttle arm) or the pump itself ((Diaphragm stuck) etc, or it may just be that there's no fuel getting into that carb because the needlevalve is stuck. Take off the top and see if there's fuel in the float chamber. If not, check the needle valve for being stuck closed, and replace if necessary. If there is fuel in there, work the accelerator pump and see if fuel bubbles up the tube that goes up into the top. If it's there, then the accelerator pump is fine but the carb top is blocked.

I finally got around to cleaning up and installing the '71 distributor into my '67 stock dual carb Sqbk. It wouldn't start and it seemed like a fuel problem so I looked down the throat of each card while hitting the fuel. The right carb pumps gas into the carb, while the left one doesn't.

I suspect that I need to take apart the carb top to see what is
going on in there.

Any other thoughts on this?

Last time I started it up was a few months ago.

Jeff '67 Sqbk
