Correct me if I am wrong in my thinking 'cuz I never have owned a car I needed a timing light for, but if a circle is 360 degrees, wouldn't a 30 degree slice equal one-twelfth of whatever circumference the pulley was? Of course, one would also need to know where to start measuring from as well! This may seem stupid to some but I really don't know...and since my engine is in the process of installation I need to find out so I can fire it up when it is in and wired up... Also, I need some insight on electronic ignition...the 009 distributor seems much-maligned on this list, and that is what is in the new motor so I am thinking maybe I need a nice hot coil (I don't have a coil at all yet...) and some type of aftermarket electronic ignition like those sold on aircooled.net...engine is a 1600 Dual Port t-3 engine with engle cam (?) and 2 Weber carbs whose nomenclature I am unsure of.
