Nico: I'm down-island from you and drive my T3 daily. As Steven mentioned the heat in our cars comes from the engine first to the heat outlets in the rear seat, then to the footwell outlets and finally to the windshield. You have to close the rears and footwell outlets to get any airflow to the windshield. The gas heater just blasts heat at your left leg as you drive and won't do much for your visibility. In order to keep the windows clear I have to close the rear seat vents and footwell vents and often I have to crack my vent windows and/or side windows as well. It is wet here and old VWs have a tough time keeping fog-free. My rear window is never clear except when I start out in the morning (covered parking helps a lot!) but my windshield and side glass stays pretty clear. There are products that are supposed to stop the fog from forming on glass and mirrors but its been years since I tried them and I can't remember how much they helped. Locally I picked up something called 20-10 fog b gone or something like that. Good luck, Andre ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ List info at http://www.vwtype3.org/list | mailto:gregm@vwtype3.org ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
