Not a success. There is now a distinct dimple in each of the flats around 
the end of the governor, and the pinion is still completely loose - it just 
drops in and out.

The only thing I can think of is if I can somehow make the pinion wider, 
rather than the governor narrower. What if I were to put a blob of solder or 
epoxy putty on each side of it and then knock it in? or wrap it with 
something?

Any ideas?
