The time this happened to me, the plug was positioned fore and aft in the space right between the 2 spark plug holes, just inside the tin. It would have been easy to find if I had just thought to feel there, but I actually never found it until I tore the engine down a few years later. Does your plug socket have some means of holding the plug in there? That's an important feature. -- ******************************* Jim Adney, jadney@vwtype3.org Madison, Wisconsin, USA ******************************* ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ List info at http://www.vwtype3.org/list | mailto:gregm@vwtype3.org ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
