That should be fine, although you could try upping it to 30 to see if that helps. The most important thing to do would be to check the pressure under load, which requires that you have someone watch the pressure while you're actually driving. You want to make sure that the pressure is being maintained during those episodes. > >How is the fuel filter? > New with recent tune up. > > >How is the filter screen in the bottom of the gas tank. > Tank was checked for sediment (none) and filter replaced upon purchase last > fall. Just to make sure: Was the screen replaced, or just the filter? They are 2 different parts. The screen is actually mounted in the tank outlet, while the filter is a separate box beneath the tank. > What else could it be? And/or what should I check next? 1) How's your overflow hose at the gas filler pipe? They are often cracked and that will let water into the tank, which will lead to all kinds of problems. 2) Measure the charging system regulating voltage: With the engine warmed up after a drive, measure the battery voltage at medium RPM. It should be 14.1-14.4V. If it is below 13.5V, replace the voltage regulator with a new Bosch # 30-019. Low system voltage will make the FI run rich, and this is a common problem with the FI cars. It boils down to nothing more than a worn out voltage regulator. If you want more info, I have a charging system FAQ which you can use to sort out charging system problems which you may be having.
