<x-flowed>Following Russ's tip I looked up ATP and found this:

No luck. I went to TWO places that only sell parts for automatic
transmissions, and neither had it. I also tried the VW main dealers parts
store. He found the item on his parts computer, but it had no part number,
meaning it is officially NLA from VW. Everyone had a very similar part for a
later tranny (the 010). It's a pity they didn't keep the same part, 'cause
then it would be generally available.
I'll look up the part # here and see if I have any more luck locally. I don't
have any spares to offer, but there must be a source of those somewhere. It's
possible that it's NLA in Israel but still listed here.
Everyone I showed it to suggested I should just clean it up and put it back
in, since the hole was fixed, albeit a bit clumsily. Unless anyone here
thinks that's a really bad idea, I think that's what I'll do.
I think it's reasonable to be concerned about how such a repair would hold up,
but in this it looks to me like this has already been "tested" and it passed.
If it really looks like the epoxy has held up okay then I would not hesitate to
reinstall it. That should not stop you from keeping an eye out for a good
replacement, however.
