You've apparently missed the current Ford Thunderbird and Mustang, the 
BMW Z series, and about all the recent Chryslers. Retro is still hot, 
and they're starting to show signs of getting over the cartoon look and 
finding the hang of styling again, for example with the latest Mustang 
and that cool Chrysler wagon. I'm reasonably certain it's all pretty far 
outside what VW has in mind for its main products, but it wouldn't 
surprise me to see some more interesting lines behind an Audi badge in 
the not-too-distant future.
