There were early and late TCs and the early ones got recalled to be replaced because of bad welds that tended to crack and leak. The changeover occurred within the 69 model year. Greg M has a pair of photos of his old and new TCs. He didn't realize it at the time, but he had an early one which got replaced by a late one when his AT got rebuilt. There is a gross difference in the cooling fins that makes them easy to tell apart. Greg will have to remind us of the URL, but he posted photos of both kinds a few months ago. The late one is the one with more, smaller fins. You should be more worried if yours is the early style.
