You have to carefully cut off the crimp ferrules without cutting into the hose 
barb underneath. You can do this with a bench grinder or a hacksaw, but you 
must be careful not to go very far into the rubber. Once you get one apart you 
can see exactly what you're up against.

Once the old hose is off, you can replace it with any kind of suitable hose and 
clamp.
