Whatever happened to the natural enthusiasm of youth - "I'll help unload the panel if I can have a ride in it when it's finished!" These days you'd need a signed statement from the local police that you were a fit guy to do that sort of thing, plus a parental consent form, I guess. ;-( I bet you would help them fix a problem with their bike for no charge!
