'69 with FI, '68 with carbs.

If so, then my '67 wouldn't have had automatic.

If yours is a '67 then it could not have been AT. The Pan has the VIN stamped
on it, so that's pretty easy to check. The conversion possibility was just a
guess, in the hope of explaining why you didn't have a solid bulkhead back
there.

I'll have to check the VIN again when I get home.

I didn't observe any exit hole or weld of an exit hole left of center, forward of the
subframe mount point, There was an exit hole in the center of the pan just in front
of the subframe mount point looks like maybe drain hole for the tube? not like
any cable exit hole. [ I forgot to photograph that. ]
