I believe it is meant for a bug, but where the caliper is and the

makes a kit for the type 3, but they go for around $500. very nice
though.

well, when you get the parking brakes working, I would love to see how you have it setup.

Mine's the empi kit for a T-1, [was on there when I got the car. ]
I haven't quite figure out what I'm going to do yet to get the parking brakes functioning.

the cable guide that goes from the body to the brake is too short.

[ The CB performance kit appears to have nearly identical calipers. but
a few extra parts, including a spacer that makes up for the caliper mounting bracket
being slightly thicker than the bracket that holds the stock brake shoes, but again
it's for a type 1 ]

Thee kit from Airkewld is for a type 3, it looks nicer.
it actually looks to have stronger mounting brackets,
and I called them, he says that his parking brake cables just fit and work,
however he said he only sold them as a kit, and wouldn't tell me where
they come from, and I couldn't tell if the calipers he was using were
the same as the empi kit, none of the pictures seemed large enough.
He did hint that possibly the cables / cable guides might have
been from a bus. but he recommended I fabricate some extra
length onto the existing parking brake tubes, so that the
cable guides actually fit.

Anyhow, I would like to see how your parking brake hookup works out.
