What you do is lay the gasket material over the area you are trying to make the gasket for, and tap around the edges of that area (the port and/or sealing surface) to create an impression in the gasket material. Then take your scissors (don't run with them to do this ;)) and cut out along the lines created by the tapping.

too.



The scissors I understand, but what do you do with the hammer ? (Sorry, I'm unfamiliar with this technique).
