<x-flowed>I'm not sure if that stock wire should be used as it was designed to carry 360watts, not 840! I'm not an electrical engineer but I'd be cautious about this method and would recommend using the supplied battery cable when you get the chance as the stock battery to starter cable has a much bigger cross sectional area than the stock generator supply wire.

To be honest ,I didn't follow the directions exactly.It was cold so I didn't route the output to the starter as directed.
I simply tied into the existing harness as is done for a VW alternator conversion.
