You might try looking in the JCW catalog (the thicker one), for auto trunk
carpeting. They sell a pretty good sized roll for about 25 bucks. It's thinner
than normal auto floor carpet. I've used several times with good results, and
if you made a screw up, you've still got plenty to work with. : )
