Re: [T3] SPEAKER PLACEMENT

<x-flowed>Hi,

I want to mount speakers flush on door pannels or side pannels. What are the best locations? I need room behind the pannel for the speaker. I would rather not cut metal. I can cut it easy enough. I just dont like doing non- reversible modifications to nice old cars. I don't mind cutting interior pannels because mine are only in fair condition at best. Is there space behind the ash trays in the rear seat? I was thinking of removing the ashtrays and putting them there. Now that I've talked about not cutting metal - Has anyone tryed putting them under the rear seats facing forward? Thanks for your comments

I have two speaker boxes, each having a 6x9 speaker in it and a [bass] port at the bottom. They are resting on the rear seat with the seat belts holding them in. I used long speaker wire connecting them so I can easily move the boxes to the rear of the car and out onto the roof -- installed back in my college days ;-)
