On my search to find some good fender beading for my square, I noticed how everyone was only selling pieces of beading, similar to t1 beading, that had to be modified to make fit the contours of our fenders. Last week, I called Bill and Steves, and told the guy over the phone what I was looking for, and all I could find was modified type1 fender beading. The nice guy @ Bill and Steves told me that they had faithfully reproduction fender beading for my car, and that they made it their self. Only 87.50+ S&H. Today I received my package, it contains 3 long rolls of beading similar to type 1 stuff, and 6 smaller pieces and no detailed instructions, on what to do with any of this garbage. I called them and the same guy told me that what they sold me was all that was currently on the marker for my car. I explained to him that everyone was selling that same garbage for 1/2 of the price he sold it to me for. That this was not faithfully reproduction t3 fender beading, all they did to make it was cut it because it wasn't shaped to fit my car. It doesn't even have any holes in it. He explained that if I was unhappy I could return it to them and they would refund my money less S&H, of course. I want the list's opinion, should I send it back or should I keep it? My local vw parts shop has t1 stuff for only $8.00 per roll. If I keep it, how do I make it work has anyone posted online how to make 3 long rolls of beading similar to type 1 stuff, and 6 smaller pieces fit between 4 fenders on a squareback.
