Re: [T3] 71 with issues

<x-flowed>RhiannonM=> The cool air fan has been making noise

This is the electric fan under the dash, right? Rather than the cooling fan on the motor.

=> something started knocking in my engine. ... the rotor on the distributor
=> isn't moving when I turn the generator pully. Thoughts? Ideas?

Bear in mind that the distributor only turns half as fast as the crank, and the generator pulley is connected to the crank pulley by a belt that can slip. You'll want to check this again.

An engine knock -- the bad kind -- will be very regular and change frequency along with rpm, usually getting louder as it gets faster. If it's irregular or doesn't track rpm, it's something else.

You can use the long-screwdriver-in-the-ear method to narrow down the source of the sound.
