<x-flowed>Yes, I noticed the two different versions. There's my 6v engine at the DDB (which is for sale ;-) and it has the longer tins compared to another late model engine there. I have the correct short tins. Funny, the "engine builder" did install the correct 'cool tin' on the lower cylinders.

On top of everything, those parts are REALLY important. Without them, most of the cooling air just bypasses the engine.

Probably right, but probably not too much of a difference. Most of the change in resistance comes at the lower end of the temp range.
