Regardless of how the parts are held in there (loose acid, acid in a sponge, acid in a gell) the chemistry is still the same. The fact that they still have the same voltage per cell pretty much pins them down to being a lead-acid chemistry device. I don't think there is any way around that, but I'd be happy to be proven wrong. -- ******************************* Jim Adney, jadney@vwtype3.org Madison, Wisconsin, USA ******************************* ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ List info at http://www.vwtype3.org/list | mailto:gregm@vwtype3.org ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
