Ok, I should first say. I'm still pretty new to aircooled VWs and I'm kinda learning as I go. Now here's my situation: I've got a '68 Fastback that leaks gas into the crankcase. Other than that it seems to run perfectly fine. From what I understand a 68 doesn't have a cold start so I figured the gas must be coming from a leaky fuel injector. I pulled all four fuel injectors, pressurized the system (it has a pressure gauge and it reads 28psi like it should) and they didn't seem to leak at all. One thing I was curious about is when we pressurized the system sometimes one injector would spit just a little bit out right as we turned the key, but then it wouldn't leak or anything. They all did it but it wouldn't be enough to get into the oil. All the injectors look perfectly clean and undamaged. They worked fine when i pulled them other than that initial spit when the system first pressurized. Anyone have any help for me? Have the same or similar problem? ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ List info at http://www.vwtype3.org/list | mailto:gregm@vwtype3.org ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
