Man, you old farts have no sense of adventure anymore. 470 miles and back could be done in a day. My '71 was down in St. Louis when I bought it. Boise to St. Louis is about 1700 miles EACH WAY! Because of a little side trip to see a nephew in the hospital in Tulsa on the way back, it was more like 3800 miles before I got home. My 70 year old dad made the trip with me. Of course, that's another story. I told my wife to shoot me if I ever invited him on a trip like that again.
