I took a look tonight and the lower brush is sending off sparks,
particularly when it's revved up. I got at least 40k out of my last set
of brushes, what is this all about? I cleaned the commutator with a
toothbrush and carb cleaner and that may have stopped it.
Anyone have the generator FAQ? I wasn't able to pull the generator out
w/o taking off the pulley so I cleaned it in place. There must be a
trick, the belt is too tight. The pulley housing hole is slightly too
small to get any angular advantage to slip the belt off.
