I'd check to make sure that the injector is firing, too. The LR is # 4, and that one should fire at the same time as # 1. Start by just gently inspecting the # 4 wiring, and the cluster of ground wires on the top center of the engine. With the ignition ON, go to the engine and unplug injector # 1 (RF.) Now depress the throttle. You should hear a series of clicks as the throttle goes down. At different positions of the distributor shaft, the clicks should either come from # 4 or from # 2 & # 3. You can actually put your hand on injectors and feel them click. If # 4 is working you're done and you know it's okay. If what you're feeling is # 2 & 3, rotate the engine and try again. Keep it up until you either feel # 4 click or you get back to # 2 & 3. If # 4 never clicks, then you will need to track down the problem, which will most likely be with the wiring. -- ******************************* Jim Adney, jadney@vwtype3.org Madison, Wisconsin, USA ******************************* ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ List info at http://www.vwtype3.org/list | mailto:gregm@vwtype3.org ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
