[T3] List of T3 helpers for new owner in West Lafayette, Indiana?

Well, it's confirmed, my yellow Canadian car is going to a young lady 
way out in West Lafayette, Indiana -- Purdue University to be more 
exact.  She's done her research and she knows what she wants so this 
isn't a matter of her blindly getting a Type 3.  Now, her boyfriend is 
familiar with cars (he works on Datsuns) but he's not knowledgeable 
about air-cooled VWs, let along the Type 3.  So I'm compiling some 
information for her so she'll be a more informed owner.

One of the things I would like is a list of possible Type 3 "helpers".  
Is there anyone in/near the area who wouldn't mind giving me their email 
addy (or phone number if you're feeling really generous) and full name 
for lending a helping hand should she need it?

Also, the car didn't come with an owner's manual so I'm looking for an 
on-line one for her (to explain those crazy levers by the e-brake, for 
example ;-).  The car is an early '72 (produced Nov. '71).  I haven't 
done a search yet (TheSamba?) but just in case anyone knows of them I 
wouldn't be the only person who'd appreciate it.
